no power to motor and other noob question

(SG2100, Invacom Quad Polar Leg 4 O/P, Fortec star)
First no power to motor. I tried two different cables but still no light on the motor. I did make the mistake of connecting it with the receiver on. Could that have fried it?
Second question. I plan to start with Galaxy 19/25 at 97W. In the receiver setup there is no LNB listed that matches the Invacom that I have. And how do I know what transponder to use?
    thanks

    Software reset !

I found that restoring the receiver to factory defaults now gives me power.
I would still appreciate some feedback on the correct LNB to choose from the list (I have the Inv QPH-031)
And the Transponder to use to get started.
One other question. I am not currently using the DiseqC since I think that is needed when I want to hook up the Circular and Linear feeds at the same time. Is that correct? thanks again.

set it to is a STANDARD (so the Local Oscillator frequency is set to 10750)

Diseqc is terminology used for both switching (mutiple lines like you have on your LNBF) or for moving the motor. Don't get hung up on it too much.
Just be advised you can (and should) use DISQEC to set up your motor for now - I think its much easier for the new user to get started with alignment.

You will eventually need a switch of some kind to separate the C from L on your receiver. If you have 1 receiver, a 2 port will be enough. A 4 port will work fine too, but it's not required.

Use either of these on 97W
    12177 V 23000
    or
    12152 H 20000
