I am setting up a remote location to use my existing Dish Network VP622 receiver when I am at my second home. I have set an identical dish (Dish Network 1000.2 with a triple LNB setup) at the remote location. In an attempt to point the dish through the pointing screen, beginning with the 119 degree terminal (no.1) I cannot gain a signal using the specified azimuth, skew, and vertical angle. I then moved to 110 degree terminal (no.2) and can only get green locked signal on a few of the transponders.
The pointing screen only allows 3 dish choices 300, 500 and superdish. What is the best setting for the above combination of dish and receiver.![]()
Would it be beneficial to purchase a DP switch and hook up both terminals 1 and 2 since the dish pointing angles, etc. are so different?
Is there anything I can do to improve the weak reception of the 110 degree signal?![]()
