motorized system/cannot get it to work

I purchased a Winegard 30 inch satellite/motorized. I cannot get it to work. I set the motor elevation to the latitude as it asked for and the satellite to 25. But I cannot get any satellite. I have tried setting to true south which is about 184.6 and nothing happens. If there is anyone in the Bradenton area in Florida I really need help with this system.

my bearings are 27.4 latitude and -82.4 long.

give us your motor model and dish model...

Your motor should be set to either your latitude or 90degrees minus your latitude. Check the manual.

Then your dish should be set to the pole angle of your motor minus the declination angle for your location and motor. That should be in your motor manual as well.

I'm in Tampa. True south for us is 82W satellite Nimiq 2, so I don't know where this 184.6 is coming from. A 30 inch dish is on the small side, what satellites are you interested in? Can you submit some pictures of what you have setup so far??
