i have just brought this motor sm3d12 and i live in england in lancing west sussex what latitude do i need when setting it on 1 west i was told 51.5 / but your manual shows 43/45 can you help me please by giveing me the right latitude

you set the latitude scale to what ever your latitude is.

i dont no what the latitude is i am trying to find out is there anybody who knows please help me as first time i am doing this

50°49'N, 0°20'W = 50.8N 0.3W
Latitude is about 51
