Smile I need the manual for stupid people?

I tried ,but failed... I have a 900 mm dish a FORTEC STAB HH MOTOR MOUNT
Model: HH90
I read the manual 50 times but can't get the system to line up on a satellite!!
The dish starts off plumb.
The motor is set to 38 deg (I am near Marsellies in France)/
I set the receiver to the correct long / lat .... the motor moves.
NOTHING.
Can someone point me towards the idiots guide?
Am trying to get SKY ?
Hey I'm trying to get anything.

Ian

Cool motor install

Here are some points to consider for your installation.
  1. The mast has to be 100% plumb and stable.
  2. Make sure you have no obstacles surrounding the antenna location such as tall trees or buildings, you need a clear view of your south.
  3. Install the motor parked at X or center and align to your true south in reference to your compass.
  4. Your LNB SKEW should be at 0° in reference to your antenna at center; this will help to have a good SKEW on all satellites.
  5. Setup coordinates in USALS and now move the antenna to the satellite close to your true south.
  6. Make sure you have the correct frequency per the LNB specifications.
  7. Always have a meter in line.
  8. Adjust your AZIMUTH, ELEVATION and DECLINATION to get the best possible signal quality on the satellite close to your true south.
  9. Once optimized you have to make the antenna travel from east to west to confirm you have a good curve. If you don't see the satellites on east and west ends you may have to readjust your declination.
  10. More information throughout the forum. Enjoy your TV.

Unhappy Still stupid

Thanks but I am still doing something wrong….
There are two pivot points.?? One on the dish bracket and one on the Motor bracket.. I think.
The dish bracket should be set square ( plumb) to the pole (0 deg) (same line as the pole holding it). Yes??
And the motor bracket should be set at the elevation for the area.?? Yes??
Everything should be pointing dead South. ?? yes.

OK where did I go wrong??

Pretty much no to everything you stated. Sorry The motor should be set to your latitude on the latitude scale of the motor. One side is probably marked elevation and the other latitude. These are not the same. Next is the dish elevation which is whatever the motor says - declination angle. Something like 30 - x. Most (I am not in France) are around 24 degrees or so. This is location specific. Now the entire assembly is aligned on true south and the hunt for signal begins.

Is the dish a Fortec dish? The 90cm Fortec dishes have been known to be off as much as 5 degrees on their scales. This should be of help.

How to install an HH-Mount Motor? Applies to DG240-SM3D22-STABHH100-HH120-Motech-SG2100
