C/Ku Band LNB..To buy or not to buy?

I'm a newbie to FTA ( so new that I posted this thread in the rules forum first ). Just invested in a Neosat iPRO 2000 Plus and a 6ft Fortech prime focus dish (stationary). I haven't invested in a LNB just yet. My initial thoughts were to go FTA for the Ku band. However I now realize my reciever supports both C and Ku band as does my dish. Is it worth getting a dual band LNB given that my dish is stationary? Would love to know ASAP as LNB order is pending.

Jah Love!

It depends which satellite you are going to aim your dish at?
If the satellite has C band FTA stations only, then you donn't need the C/KU band.

However, these C/KU band are so cheap, I would get one anyway

C/Ku Band To Buy or Not to Buy?

I was planning, on aiming for the 110/119 sats. By the way can I alternate between 110 & 119 without being motorized? Or do I need two LNB? I would hate to know that I make this investment to stare at one Sat.

Do they sell a mount/motor that can transform my 6ft stationary into a motorised polar mount?

you won't get nothing on these sats as all the channels are scramble. check LyngSat - Lyngemark Satellite for avaiable channels.

Is it scrambled for ALL? Or only for folks in continental US? I am in Jamaica, does that make any difference?

it is scramble for all you will need a subsription from Dish Network to receive signals from their sats.
