I love this site. I am interested in FTA, not hacked sat reception. Doesn't seem like most FTA sites are really about FTA. I came here a few weeks ago (bought something from Sadoun and found the forums). Very informative. I read, and read, pages of information about hitting the sat I wanted (G25) and learned things, some important such as physically skewing the LNB!
I have DTV (sub) and a Fortec Star dish that I got from Sadoun almost 2 years ago that I just got up. I am using with a Pansat 2500 which no one seems to want for hacking any longer (read: cheap!).
I have started picking up TeleSat magazine. Looks like a fun hobby!
Again, great site, with a lot of great advise from members (some of which appear to be in the satellite biz). Thank you all for sharing your expertise, it has helped this novice! I don't think I could have gotten it without all of your help via the archived posts!
We are glad to help most of the members here are just hobbiest who like to see what they can find in the clear. and welcome to the forums.![]()
