Fortec 36" vs Elliptical Dish 36" x 27"

I have searched the forums and the pages for these dishes on Sadoun but coudn't find a clear answer.

I am located in Los Angeles and want to watch IA5 at 97 (FTA Persian Channels mainly). Which is a better dish for me? The Fortec 36" or the GlobeCast Elliptical dish?

Also, I guess a single Ku 0.4 dB LNBF would suffice?

My setup is one TV with Fortec Star Ultra and a clear view of Southern Skies.

Either dish should work fine I have the 36" Fortec and it pull's in G25 at 80% quality on the ultra.

Hi Inbead Have did alot of IA-5(galaxy-25) installs and the globe cast dish is made by channel master and is listed as a 80cm dish, and i have noticed that globe cast dish always seems to be better Q on my bird dog & receiver (pansat 2500) when i have set up the dish compared to a winegaurd 76cm -fortec 80cm-and other 80cm dishes. also the globe cast is much better built its a composit dish verse stamped steel. I think the reason why is the globe c has it own lnb with a ku scalar ring built on to the lnb, and that dish has always out performed any other 80cm dish i have done, but cant compare to a 90cm because the 90cm has been on other sats other than IA-5 in my area (central fl). hope al helps and good luck.
