LNBF setup on 10ft Dish c-band
Trying to get new LNBF setup on 10 ft c-band dish. Is there something in the receiver i need to do? Captive Works 600s. I can get Horz, but no Vert. I move LNBF I get Vert no Horz. Maybe I just haven't hit the sweet spot with the skew on the LNBF. Az is 215.2, EL is 43.1. Fixed on Old G4 @99 degrees.

what type of lnbf are you using in is this a stationary mount? it sounds like you haven't hit the sweet spot yet.

Sweet spot...
Thanks for the reply...It's a polar mount with a old hand crank for now. The arm broke after 16 years of use, so put the hand crank back on. Most of the feeds I want, use horz. pol. anyway, so I might just peak it on horz, pol. and forget about the vert. channels. I only get satellites in the 93 degrees to 103 degrees, I'm using a button hook mount, with this new DSI 13 degree LNBF seems pretty hot....thanks...DB

Check that information
thanks, for that catch, was a DMF International ASC 421 13 Degree LNBF, when I first tried it, didn't use scalar ring, after doing some reading up, sounds like I might need it for unwanted signal rejection. It seemed to work fine without it. Just couldn't get both pols. from same position..

Wow, right about the time I was thinking about C band I read how complicated it is. Guess I'm still in the 36 inch category.

I'm not sure what you're finding complicated. I don't feel that it's any more complicated than the smaller dishes, just requires some different parts/techniques. With the right pieces of equipment, C-Band is pretty darn simple.

agreed for me C Band dish was a lot easier to set up then the little dishes
it's a shame they don't have as many analog channels any more because that makes it a lot easier.
