Is my 22khz switches or my Invacom dead?
Hi everyone,
How is evryone doing?I have not been here for a while. Hopefully, everyone is doing fine. Anyway, I have encounted a problem with my satellite system and did not know what would be the cause. I have been using using 1 Invacom QPH-031, two 22khz switches (S-SM21H) with 2 receivers (Fortec Classic NA) for more than a year now. This morning I lost signal on Echo Star 8,10. But, everything is OK with the others linear satellite so I think my 22khz switches or my Invacom is dead. How can i know exactly which one is dead? Please help. Thank you.

welcome back. try taking the switch out and hook straight to the lnb that way you will know if it's the switch or the lnb.

By the way, I was using this Sadoun S-SM21H 2-Way (2 IN- 1 OUT) 22KHZ Multi-Switch.
Now I want to buy this http://sadoun.com/Sat/Products/DiSEq...EQC-SWITCH.jpg to substitute. Is that ok? I mean do they do the same functions? Thank you.

should work ok just have to change your 22khz to off and turn your disqec to 1.0 then select the ports 1 or 2 for the lnb side you want to watch. by the way i use a 4x1 disqec switch in case i want to add another lnb later.

Hi rainman,
Just want to be sure. I have 2 S-SM21H (22KHZ Multi-Switch), 1 Invacom, 1 motor, 2 receivers. So if I want to substitute these two S-SM21H switches with two DS21 2-Way DiSEqC switch, that should be fine, ok? I mean the installation will be the same, right? The only different is the dish setting in my receivers, right?. Sorry, I am just want to make sure before I place my order. It usually takes a week for sadoun to deliver my order every time. Thank you.

it should work just fine. but since you are already set up for the 22khz switches why not just order new ones of them it would then just be a swap out and you wouldn't have to change anything.
