As I recall I tried this and it did not switch and I did not lose the signal. It is possible the
Mercury and/or switch is "smart" and will not allow switching to a connection with nothing on it???
And these things can be in software. Another receiver may allow you to do this because it is designed differently??? I don't know.
Anyway I FIRST set up my dishes/LNB's with direct coax connections and get sats and channels. THEN ADD in the diseq switch to the mix. Then the switch should switch to see the channels if set to the correct LNB, but not see the channels/signal meter if set to the other LNB.
Note: I noticed a bug with the Mercury software version 0151 where it would not switch the diseqc switch properly. There were other problems with this version as well. I went back to version 0145 and everything works OK.
