no power to lnb

what do you think happened if there is no power coming from the reciever to lnb? is it time to trash the reciever? I've test it with a multimeter, but there is no power.. it's a zinwell zdx-9111. Are there any ways to fix it?

Probably not worth fixing it -- trash it...

Re: no power to lnb

1. Make sure you don't accidently turn off the lnb power.
2. Don't trash it. Assuming the tunner is still good, you can slave it to a working receiver, so you can watch different channels on the same polarity, offcourse same satellite.
If you still insist to trash it, give it to me....:-), it'll pay the shipping cost....just kidding.

LOL !! Sorry - it was the salesman in me telling you to "trash it" (and, of course, buy a new one  ).

True, I forgot about the "LNB power" being switched off - try that first. Generally, the DC voltage to the LNB is integrated into the tuner circuitry - so the tuner may be shot as well. I trash ExpressVu receivers all the time when they don't put out 13/18 VDC .... HeHeHe

Simply run a coax jumper from the "IF OUT" to the "IF IN" on another receiver.

"IF OUT" is sometimes called "DIGITAL OUT".
