dent on dish

i have a small dent on my dish about the size of a quarter, will it affect the signal?

No, nothing to worry about. Make sure the dish is not 'warped' or twisted. Sometimes if the dish has been dropped it will also be knocked out of plane. Best way to check this is to lay it on a flat surface - if it wobbles then it is warped. Or else hold it upright on the floor and look straight down to see if there is a noticeable twist to it. If there is then finding signal will be quite difficult. Take a pair of pliers and straighten out that dent.
