NASA channel switched their audio to AC-3

The NASA channel switched their audio to AC-3 yesterday.
You will need an AC3 processor to get the audio.

Or you can replace the receiver with the SatHawk PVR800 which converts the AC3 into analog sound. You will continue to hear the sound out of the AUDIO (White/Red) RCA connection on the back of the receiver.

I have a customer who wants me to point a dish at Hispasat 30w.
I'm planning on using a dual standard universal LNB.
He wants four fta receivers connected to the dish.
Do I connect a basic 3X4 Directv multi switch to this dish?
Or is there a different and better switch to use for this application for fta.

My second question.
Are there any HD channels on the Ku fta satellites?
Will there be any in the near future.
Since the customer is going to buy four new receivers, he wants to know
if he should buy HD receivers.

Thanks for any help in answering these questions.

Anyone has ever tried to get this sat? and if yes what dish size is needed to get good signal?

Hi
I am trying to setup a GBOX V3000 with my AZBOX Premium + and I am getting an "error 64" message displayed on the GBOX. The manual gives no info about error codes. I'd like to know the meaning of that error and how I can correct it. In spite of that error, the receiver remembers the positions of the first three sats I stored. Unfortunately I will have to reprogram one of those sats as I did dot assign the right position: how can it be done?

Thanks

I have a fortec lifetime ultra rec with a100 cm fortec dish and a hh120 motor, The lnb is an entry level fortec, all this came in a package from Sadoun. I live in salem Or and my lat is 45 and my long is 122.9. I got this system aligned 3 years ago and it tracked the arc perfect for 3 yrs. About 6 months ago It lost its reception This weekend I drove the motor to G10Ku (123.0) and moved the dish every where without one hit on the on screen meter. I was on transponder 12113 v 4580, also tried the default trans. My motor elevation was set on my lat{45} and dish el was 23. Ialso tried on {127} at11975 v 19125 and nothing. I even hooked my receiver to the lnb. Could my lnb be bad and if so, what is a good replacement. The receiver seemed to work ok menu wise. also I was looking at 163.7 magnetic for
g10ku from my location. thank you

P.S.I download transponders from mixesoft.com for this galaxy 19 and like from TP #1 to TP 36 shows only 4 numbers that the receiver doesn’t accept
Any help I appreciate,
Thanks in advance

Help finding arabic channels

I purchased a M-1 bundle and have installed it and have not had any luck getting arabic channels. My system is the geosat pro DSR200c with the 36in dish and DG280B motor and KUL1 linear LNBF 0.4dB single head. My signal varies from time to time between 60 ~75 on stength and 15~85 on qulaity depending on which sat I am looking at. My sat should be set at 36 degrees on motor and 29 degree on dish arm but I do not get a signal at those settings. If I change my setting on arm to 19 degree I get a good strength and quality on G-19 and pick up fedex sat. I have tired for a month and have reset everythign and started from scratch and still no arabic channels. Any idea;s on what to i can do ?

What I have done Results

1. Set-up dish without motor No arabic channels
2. Set-up dish with motor No arabic channels
3. Did blind scan everything but arabic channels
4. Signal for TP 12146 at 75S/55Q No arabic channels
5. Restored factory settings no arabic channels

I have spent a lot of time and money with this system and haven't got anything out of it yet please help if you can.

Thanks

Guys

I just want to share my experience with this item. I bought it from Sadoun and I installed it in my PC but I was NOT getting a signal at all even though I knew I had the correct settings. The instruction manual is very poor and it doesn't help at all. So in short:
1) Of course you'll have to turn off the PC and unplug the power cord (make sure that your body is discharged from any statics, use a strap if you have one).
2) Install the PCIe card in the PCIe slot
3) Connect the molex (a white socket on the PCIe card must be connected to the PC power. Hopefully, you have one available).
4) Connect the coax cable (I'm assuming at this point that your coax cable is already connected to the LNBF which in turn is mounted on the dish and that the dish is pointed to the correct direction).
5) Close the PC Cover and power on the PC .
6) Run the installation wizard and when completed you'll have to restart your PC.
7) After the restart, start up the DVB program and click on the ranch sign then enter your satellite settings, (make sure you save your settings). and keep your fingers crossed! ;o)
8) When done, lock or scan the TP. Then scan the satellite for any channels update.
9) If you don't see a green bar on the signal indicator then your molex is probably not connected right. That's what really got me, I've wasted alot of time fooling around with the setup not knowing that I only needed to connect the molex.
8) You should be good to go! but few observations though. The Update Satellite button returns an error msg that the information downloaded is incorrect. I also had trouble upgrading the software + drivers because I wanted to have the new feature "blind search" which isn't available on the CD that comes with the package so you'll have to download it.
Hello All:

I'm eating my words...okay Frisky, Rainman, Electrolaw, et al, a guy down the street said the magic words, "Just get it out of here", so now I'm the proud owner of a 7.5 foot SAMI dish. I've already sacrificed part of my back yard I don't use so the polar mount is already on the pole and the dish itself goes up tomorrow.

What I'm not understanding is the intial setup. The dish belonged to a guy who lived several hundred feet away, so the elevation and declination should be right already. I've replaced the actuator with a 24" 36V unit (and a G Box to control it), the old actuator had its cables cut years ago. So: do I extend the actuator out about half way, and then try to find my (sort of) true south sat by rotating the whole assembly on the pole? Since there's no USALS, there's no absolute position the dish thinks it's going to, so to speak. I'm at 81.8W, I think, so the closest C band sat would be AMC3 at 87. Do I peak the signal there, then just pick a TP on the next sat over, east or west, and move the dish with the actuator until I find it, then have the G Box "memorize" that position, and keep going like that? There don't seem to be many instructions given with regard to the starting position of the actuator.

TIA,
CN
