Not one signal Ukrainian ch in NA?

Is there not one single Ukrainian channel in the North American skies whether its Cband, ku, encrypted,fta?? I wonder why wouldnt there be any. I always thought Ukraine was pretty good economically, but maybe not.

Reason I ask is because I want to find out who will be broadcasting the Eurosong contest in Ukraine!

Rogers cable in Ontario, etc only though..

They offer ethnic channels now..
So they offer few Russian ones now - RTVi and WMNB (or something like that i think).. and NTVA is maybe in the guide too now.. (even though it's not working yet)

And.. they offer Inter + .. that's an Ukrainian Channel..
Pretty good one actually - i saw it when was in Kiev not long ago..
it has some Russian spoken shows on it also.. but it's Ukrainian mostly.. and a popular channel in Ukraine

So cable has some? How do they get the content through fiber optics through the atlantic or?

I was looking for possibilities for getting the Eurovision Song Contest in the USA too, and I haven't found anything yet. I see that one of the Turkish channels (TRT?) has a Eurovision banner on their website, but I don't read Turkish so I don't know if they'll be carrying it on the International feed. I think BVN from the Netherlands is FTA in North America, but are they even a member of the European Broadcasting Union, or are they a privately-owned channel? I think I read somewhere that only state-owned channels belong to the EBU.

Check out TVRi as well. It is a national tv station so they may carry it.

Someone from Turkey has posted on Ruslana's forum (www.ruslana.com.ua/forum) that TRT-International will be carrying Eurovision.
