C-band en Espaņol Elgemcdlf

I know from reading your posts that you have several C-band Antennas.

Atravez de lo que he leido se que tienes varias antennas parabolicas C-band.

I was wondering if the BSC621-2 LNB that you use is setup for Circular R and L on C-band

Estoy curioso y quiero sabe si el LNB BSC621-2 que usas esta configurado para recibir señales de polaridad Circular.

I am getting ready to install my C-band dish and want to be able to receive both Circular and linear C-band , specifically for the spanish stations found on 40.5 W. and also Satmex 5 and 6.

Pronto estare listo para instalar mi parabolica de Banda-C , y quiero poder recibir ambas señales , Linear y Circular con la misma antenna , especificamente quiero ver los canales de NSS 806 y los de Satmex.

Are you getting all your channels with one BUD ?
That's basically what I want to do , and I don't want to have to be switching a dielectric plate every time I change birds.

Consigues todos los canales con solo una Antenna Parabolica Banda-C , porque eso es lo que Yo quiero hacer sin tener que cambiar el pedazito de teflon para los canales Circulares cada vez que cambio satelites.

I wrote this out in both English and Español just in case I can help others who seek the same information.

It helps me with my Espanol I will start with my system. My primary setup/dish is 4DTV. It is a linear system w/ 8.5' dish. There are channels available on SM5 with the 4DTV receiver. I do not know of an easy/cost effective way to get both circular and linear from one dish. I have a second 8.5' dish pointed only at 40.5 with the BSC621-2 lnbf installed. While you can use a linear lnb to capture circular transmissions it will not do it very well.

Since 40.5 is really the only sat out there with channels in Spanish that is circular c band making it move and all of that is not a required. I have split the 2 lines from the 4DTV dish and run each into a 4 port DiSEqC switch, in one of the remaining ports I have the line from the dish pointed at 40.5 and the final port is filled with a line from the 90cm dish.

The dish I use for 40.5 I got for free. Paid $49.99 fopr the lnbf when they first came out (before Sadoun had them) and roughly $40.00 or so in concrete to plant the pole. So for less than $100.00 I was able to add the second big dish. It does have an actuator on it but I do not have it connected at this time.

I do not know what channels you are trying to receive. Are you looking for anything Espanol or a specific region (Mexico, Columbia, Venezuela, etc.)?

Pretty Much anything in Espaņol , I already get Cuba and Spain with my 90 cm dish and I am not partial to any particular country, as long as I can watch cultural programming from Latin America I'm happy , once setup I will see what channels offer good programs.

I think I've read that the Corotor II Plus Wideband can be used for both Linear and Circular polarities without changing anything , it is costlier too , for now I'll stick with my current C-band LNB.

It was the cost that kept me away from wide band. I can put in another dish for far less than the corotor plus where my main dish is located it can not see east past 50 degrees due to trees. Installing a dish on the other side of the yard gave me east view (no west due to trees) so with the 2 of them I can see the entire arc. I have one more I am going to install which will give me Atlantic linear sats.
