It has drawbacks..
I went from dish 180 to the famly package because I'm paying for less channels I'm not interested in, its $25 a month with locals.
After I switched I had no comercial free movie channels (i like tmc fox and amc).
I went online to order Starz and found I wasn't qualified because I did'nt have the right package.
I'll be damed if I'm going to pay for another 100 channels I don't want just to get Starz.
I'm waiting for ala carte channels just like I had with C-band.

I forgot to mention that the "free preview channels" they advertize all day aren't available either.

Family pack is not able to get the freeviews

You should be able to order Starz if you want. I just got signed up on Family Pack and they offered it to me.
