Troubleshooting Question

I have a superdish with 510 receiver. When re-installing dish (tree hit house, knocked dish out of alignment), I ran check switch and get a "NC" or no connection for 119 and 121 but do get "Conn" for the twin 110 lnb. Tried switching cables, ports, etc. but always get "NC" for 119 and 121. Cables test good, connections good.
How do I test for a faulty DP34 or faulty LNB's?

Have a direct connection between 119 lnb and the receiver (without the switch) run check switch. If you get signal on 119 then your switch is bad. If you do not, then either your lnb or connectors on the cables are bad

before you do anything make sure you getting the rigth signal, because you could be picking the new 118 sat
pick your dish with the dual pointing at the 110 ,and then
do the direct connection

The new satellite 118.7 is a linear satellite. If you're pointing to 119 you should receive signal from both. If you're using circular lnb then it's 119.
Dish 500+ has an lnb with 2 ports, one for linear to receive 118.7 and one circular to receive 119 at the same position.

1. This is not correct: 118.75 transmits signal for circular LNB.
2. Soltane is not correct either: 118.75 transmits on frequencies, lower than 119 does, and with regular TWIN LNB, we will not see them, and also, even if we will, Dish Network receiver will show red bar "Wrong Sat" message.
3. All above has no sence because thread started a while ago, and question was answered already.
4. I may be wrong too

Per DISH network instruction, the twin lnb used with dish 500+ is DP DBS/FSS Dual band.

check tech.dishnetwork.com for more details. Superdish is not that hard to point. I just pointed one using the peak angles. NC .. hmm is your switch working properly? is system grounded... service call?
