121 or 148

i have a 36 inch dish pointed at 121, and its not installed properly.

i just read that 148 is basically a mirrored 121. i live in california.

my questions are:

can i use an 18 dish to get 148?
does 148 have a stronger signal?
if i do decide to point to 148, do i use the same lnb as the one pointed at 121?

thanks guys

You can use an 18" to point at 148.
The LNBF for 148 is circular DishPro or Legacy type.
The LNBF for 121 (0r 105) is Linear FSS type.

so why would anyone want to point their dish to 121?

18 inch is cheaper and more readily available, no?

Superdish 121 still have channels not available on 148. Most european packages are on superdish. Some Indian channels are still on 121. Arabic channels all available on 148 but not all on 121.

It would be nice to tell what dish do you have: If it's a superdish, it will fetch from 119/110 and 121 (or 105 in Eastern states); If you have an old 2 dish setup, then you will get 119/110 from one dish and 148 (or 61.5) from another.
What are 6,7 and 8?

Arabic channel frequency

I have the 2 dish setup. Yes its 119/110 and 148. The 6, 7, and 8 are the Echostar satellites that appear on the satellite listing. When I configure the satellite to 61.5 Echo or to 148 Echo, I do receive all channels accept the Arabic channels. When I configured 119/110 the frequency that locked was 11250. What should the frequency be for the Arabic channels?
