Hi,
I am completely new to satellite TV system. I just got a new house and a friend told me that i can get over 100 channels free by buying a dish network dish and installing it yourself.
Can someone help me with a internet link/guide or instructions on what equipment i need to buy, and how do i install them to get this working.
I only know that one needs a cale, dish and receiver for this and one needs to point the dish in the right direction and program the receiver but thats it.
Any guide/link will be really useful.

If you buy Dishnetwork system and insall it yourself, you would get 2-3 channels. Channel 101 which is FYI system and remote control help, channel 103 which is ppv guide, and another channel that tells you what dish you installed. (Dish 500, superdish...) Unless you call to activate your system and pay for the channels you want to receive, there is not any 100 channels for free.
THe only legal way to receive Dish Network is to subscribe and they will install it for you. THey do not give away 100s of free channels. They would be out of business.
