Question:
Are all of the HD channels included in DishHD?
Answer:
No. All 23 channels are included in the DishHD package, including HD Pay-Per-View. If a customer subscribes to the Showtime or HBO premium movie package or DishHD
Platinum or DishLATINO Platinum, they will get Showtime HD and HBO HD free. Customers that are in areas where we do not broadcast the local channels in HD may use an HD off-air antenna to receive their available local channels in HD.
Question:
Will my current DISH Network HD receiver allow me to see all of the New HD channels?
Answer:
Your current receiver (6000, 811, 921 and 942) will continue to get programming packages that you currently subscribe. In order to view all of the new channels in the DishHD package, customers must have an MPEG-4 receiver (411,
ViP211 or
ViP622 DVR). Those with a 942, 921, 811 or 6000 model receiver will need to contact their retailer to upgrade to one of the new ViP receivers. In addition, customers will need to upgrade to one of the new DishHD programming packages.
Question:
Do I need to pay anything extra to get my local channels in HD?
Answer:
In limited markets, DISH Network will be offering HD local channels at no additional charge for customers already subscribing to their locals package. Those customers, who would like to receive their HD local channels via an HD off-air antenna and qualify under applicable business
rules, may pay an upfront fee for
installation and purchase of the antenna, but pay nothing to receive the channels as long as they subscribe to DishHD Programming or pay a $6 HD Enabling Fee.
