Dish 1000 (Converson)?

Hello,
As I posted in an earlier post, I installed a dish 1000 dish and a 20" dish pointed at 61.5 all tied together with a DP44 switch. All signals were good 85% to 89% and good reception.
We have been having a lot of storms and a lot of wind lately.
So I have been experiencing a lot of rain fade, more than before with the dish 500.
My question is: the dish 1000 is 20"x 18" dish; would the dish 1000 set-up work better with a dish 500 20" dish?
(That is swapping-out the 18x20 for the 20" Dish)

If this cannot be done, is there anything else that can be done to limit the loss of signal?

yeah you have to try and get `100 % signal..it is attainable on 61.5 and ive seen 99% on sat 110 and 110 on dish 1000 basically if your signal is at 80 percent/..when it rqains it will fade however if your signal is at 100 when it rains it rarely goes out.

Well, I figured out my problem. I had a cedar tree about ten feet to the right of the dish; when the heavy winds blew certain ways it shadowed the dish.
A good hair cut solved the problem. DAA!
