Lose signal strength within 2 minutes

Hey all, Bought the Viewsat2000 platinum model and hooked it up 3 days ago. At first I wasn't getting anything. Someone suggested that i bypass the diseq switch and run my cable straight to the receiver. I tried this and sure enough I was able to get about 270 channles off of the echostar7(119) but I still had no signal strength so therefore no TV to watch. I tried turning my receiver off and back on and that actully worked for about 2 minutes. I was able to watch some TV but then it lost the signal and went back to "Searching Signal", I can actually turn my receiver off and back on and get those 1 or 2 minutes before my signal strength goes back to zero. That is strange and I don't understand it.
Any suggestion would be most appreciated. I have read and re-read till I am lost in it.

My setup comes from my subscription to DN. My signal is 97%. I have DP1000, with a DP Twin lnb.

DN makes a receiver that does the switching FOR YOU every 1-2 minutes. Check it out!
