receiver replacement

Seems I have a "fried" or defective receiver that I have subscribed to Sky Angel with (I purchased eqpt) & am thinking of replacing it w/FTA receiver (can I still use it to receive Dish?) & larger dish so that I can receive other satellites that are available FTA along with my paid sub. I like news feeds etc

I do not want to have to go thru extensive set-up of the dish, climb up on the roof, (need Pro) & thinking of going to multiple LNB along with larger dish in order to min. rain fade.

Located in metro Atlanta Ga area. any point on equiptment, receiver, or installers would be appreciated.

An FTA receiver will NOT get you Sky Angel or DISH Network channels. Those are encrypted and require subscription. So you will need to replace your damaged receiver with a new Dish Network receiver, then call them to activate new receiver.
