satdish is on a distinguished road
As far as some one receiving programming from dish their is no difference. From an installer point of view when installing a dual tuner rec(322,522,625,921,etc)you have to run 2 lines from the dish to the receiver when using dish pro. When using dish pro plus you only have to run 1 line from dish to receiver and use a separator(special splitter). You still have to run 1 line for tv 2 for either one used or use diplexers. Also dish pro only uses around 200ma where the dish pro plus uses around 500ma

Satdish

What about the LNBs itself. What are the specs as far as

LO freq:
DiSEqC:
22KHz tone:
Freq Range:

Etc.

It sounds like the DiSHpro LNB is one of the new breed lnbs that you will only need one cable to connect to multiple receivers. There was an article about this in the latest Tele-Satellite magazine.

Dish Pro

LO Freq:14350
DiSEqc: I dont use but its 34
22KHz yes
Freq Range:12530

This is the same for super dish as it is the same lnbf
I use the lnbf to align the dish I never go thru a switch so I dont use the DiSeqc and as far as the 22KHz this is used by the receivers. They send this tone out and all the switches lnbf etc.send info back to the receviers tell it whats connected to that particullary system.
Dish pro still needs 2 lines from dish to rec on dual tuners
Dish pro plus only needs 1 line

As far as the dish pro plus spec (like above)I dont know cause the meter I use (channel master 1009) cuts off as soon as i connect to it and the reason it does is because of the power it needs to operate (around 500ma)I dont know if the bird dog does this as I dont have one yet I`ve been looking but havent found one at the price I`m looking to pay for a back up meter
