Most likely the installer does not even have RG11 with him to use.
At this length it is recommended to use SOLID COPPER CONDUCTOR core RG6 or RG11 all the way from the dish to the switch inside the house.
I hope to install Dish Network. The installers came out today. I want them to use RG-11 cable because the run from the house is 200' plus the cable in the house, making that about 260'. The installer says he can't use RG-11 because the dish will only recieve RG-6 and the cable in the house is RG-6.
There must be a way around this...?!

OK, then my next question is will the satellite hook up in any way effect my cable internet ? Or will it effect a DSL internet connection?
they are separate coax cable runs from dish to FTA box.
It will not affect any other cables or DSL.
