Eligible Programming Customers will be required to maintain one of the following qualified programming packages when participating in the FlexTV new customer promotional offer:
Eastern Arc Customers in an Eastern Arc DMA who want to sign up for FlexTV will be required to pay the upgrade charges for MPEG-4 equipment if they are getting HD programming. However, if a customer does not want to subscribe to HD programming they may be set up with MPEG-2 equipment and a Western Arc configuration. Frequently Asked Questions Q: Will FlexTV customers be required to return the receivers to DISH Network if they disconnect their service? A: No. FlexTV is a purchase offer so customers will be able to keep their equipment if they choose to discontinue DISH Network programming. Q: How much will my customer need to pay prior to activation in order to receive a 625/322 receiver configuration? A: This customer would be required to pay for all programming, taxes, and other fees (DVR Fee, TV2 Receiver Connection Fee, etc.) to DISH Network prior to the activation of the account. For this equipment configuration, the customer will also be required to pay a $100 Receiver Upgrade Fee for the 625 and a $149 Receiver Upgrade Fee for the 322. This is in addition to the $149 Activation fee. Remember, the equipment upgrade and activation fees are paid the Retailer. Q: Will customers be required to select only MPEG-4 receiver models when in an Eastern Arc DMA if they do not subscribe to HD programming? A: No. Customers under the FlexTV promotional offer who do not activate with an HD programming package will be installed with a Western Arc equipment configuration. Q: Can customers who activate under the FlexTV promotion participate in the ClubDISH program? A: FlexTV customers are ineligible to receive new customer ClubDISH benefits; however, an existing FlexTV customer may refer a new customer to DISH Network and receive the existing customer ClubDISH benefits. Q: Is there a former customer promotion associated with the FlexTV promotional offer? A: At this time, there is not a former customer promotion for the FlexTV offer; however, if a former customer does not qualify for DHA/DHA-24 or DHA TOO, they may activate a new account through FlexTV. The foregoing (including, without limitation, brief description(s) of certain terms and conditions applicable to each of the Promotional Programs named in this Facts Blast) may be subject to applicable Business Rules and/or different terms and conditions of your Retailer Agreement with DISH Network L.L.C., formerly known as EchoStar Satellite L.L.C. (“DISH”). In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between the terms and conditions set forth in any applicable Business Rules and the terms and conditions set forth above, the terms and conditions of such Business Rules shall be controlling. If anyone interested in the FLEXTV offer, you can call us at 1-888-519-9595 and we will setup an account and deliver the system to you anywhere in the country.

Hello! Thanks for the information but I just checked out the Dishnetwork site and they say nothing about a "Flex" program? ONLY prepaid still ?
Question #1) If the prepaid systems are going to stop being sold will the prepaid service also disappear??? Will the prepaid customers be left in the dark watching no TV or are they forced to go to the Flex system? Question #2) How do you qualify for a Flex system? If you already have a "Shell account" established with Dishnetwork (home address and phone number etc) for a pre paid system wouldnt you be qualified already? Question #3) I live on the border in Michigan to Canada and am American but my wife is Canadian and she has the creditcard in the family seeing her credit is better than mine. Will Dishnetwork still accept her Canadian Creditcard??? Thanks Mike Last edited by mikil321; 07-07-2009 at 09:01 PM. |

Are the Agreements (and prices) for receivers purchased (through you) any different for FlexTV?

Also, will a FlexTV receiver have to be attached to a phone line? Thanks, Scott |

Good Questions Scott
Scott! Good questions. Id like the answers to that one too? If dish own the receiver still than why such an expe3nsive purchase price for them? If you have to be hooked upto a phone line then why not subscribe in the regular fashion??? What about those with an RV or Cabin elswhere??? Guess we will have to wait until a moderator gets us the answers?? Thanks Mikil

I purchased DUO322 with the FlexTV plan it was quite and easy. I talk to Sadoun sales and told them I already have a dish and sense I have FTA equipment I already know how to install the system they said no problem and sold me just the reciever with no installation at a discount. It was great.
Thank You |

In looking for FlexTV info on DISH's web site (using Google), I found this link to the Terms and Conditions and nothing else. In it it says, "must be ordered, installed and activated between and including May 13, 2009 and July 31, 2009." That's a pretty short time frame from now (7-22-2009). I'm really having trouble understanding Dish's marketing on this. No info at all on the web site and it is almost over. |

Sounds very interesting. Do you have any info regarding the type programming available for these accounts and the costs when more than one receiver is used on a single account ?
