What type is your DTV dish? It is a signle lnbf or a multi-sat type?
Make it simple, how many lnbf does the DTV have? If it has one, then the dish use a dual-lnbf. In this case, either one should work.
If you have multi-sat type, then you should see 2 or 3 lnbfs on your dish.
The DTV multi-sat dish is able to see 3 sats (101W. 110W and 119W)
In this case, check out the cable to see which lnbf it connected to.

I dunno, basically i see two cables coming out and in the front it doesnt look like there is two lnbfs, only one circular plastic thing. Its probably not a big deal though because i plugged in either and there was no difference of signal, they both worked same.

LNB BSCH83P81 ExpressVu Frequency SETUP

Could you please help me to find out the setup frequency for LNB ExpressVu (Dish Network) BSCH83P81 Lot No. E85@. The product label does not provide such info.
I hope I can use it for FTA. I would greatly appreciate you help.

Yes; it is 10,750 MHz. This is a standard LNB.

I've read this thread but did not see the answer to my question. I could have mised it, though.

Here it is:

I'm trying to get more than the 110 & 119 DishNetwork birds one one dish. I want to try to get the 105 bird also.

Can I purchase a 6' dish from Sadoun and replace my DishNetwork dish with it? Can I use my current LNBs and mount them on the 6' dish and get all 3 (or more) birds?

Thanks!

The 6' Dish is designed as a prime focus dish for one LNB only. However, you could do some customization and probably get all 3 satellites without a problem. The way you would do it is to aim the dish at 105 with the center LNBF. Then position the two DSS lnbfs to the side of the 105. Will this work? Maybe. Can we guarantee it, NO. It is up to you to try.

You will also need Dish Network SW34 switch. Also depending on which receiver you have you migt have to use a DISHPRO type FSS LNBF or a legacy standard lnbf.

You will need a SuperDISH 105. See: http://sadoun.com/Sat/Products/Dishn.../SuperDISH.htm

I found out that when aiming to a circular polarity sat like Echostar 7, the reason I was getting half the programming on V/H option set is because I didn't use NIT FTA or ALL search. For some reason after doing this search, both the Left and Right hand polarity TPs worked perfectly. Sometimes the NIT search adds new TPs related to other TPs, so I looked at my old Tps and they were the same as the new ones created, maybe this is a fortec star only thing I don't know. Bottom line is use NIT FTA search and remember, L = H and R = V.

DishN to FTA

I have a dish network system. Echostar 2700 (with locker, no card), Bell ExpressVu dish with one LNB. I would like to convert it into receiving FTA from Telstar 5. can i do so without much tweaking (i'm newbie) ? if not, can i exchange it (probably adding more $) for a new system to receive FTA ?
thank you

To watch Ecuavisa and most other spanish language channels you need a C band dish. Your dish is only capable of Ku band. To receive C band, you need a big dish (6 feet minimum).

Purchasing Sadoun Satellite Systems

I am a DishNetWork (Satellite 119 and 110 )Subscriber for several years until right now. But I am from Myanmar (Burma) and I need some FTA channels like MRTV-3 (TelStar 5) whereas I don't have knowledge about hardware installation even though I can play around with some software staff a little bit. I can buy any receiver or quipments from you. Pls. give me some advice and I would like to know that "Is there any satellite installation group in Brooklyn, New York for hardware installation?" I do have both small and supper Dish. I don't mind I can buy the new dish from you too. The only problem is installation. I don't want to go to the top roof of my apartment. I need some technical guys and I wanna know how much will they charge? Thanks.

30' moto/dish standard LNB+circular LNBF to aim Echostar 6/8

Hi,
I am watch FTA from AMC4 most of the time with STAB 90 motor 30' dish. I wanted to watch FTA GOL TV on ECHOSTAR 8 (110W). I connected Diseqc 4x1 Switch #1 for Standard, #4 for Circular. When I pointed 110W signal strength is about 71% with no quality.

Do I have to adjust elevation again even though I have no problem to get other channels from other birds?

Standard LNB is at prime focus. Circular LNBF is strapped to standard LNB.

I have been struggling for three days without any luck.

Thanks.
