cable

hi i am new at this need help i have a free to air system getting a lot of free channels have a cable running from the dish to the reciver the cable says (3000MHZ RG-6) but running app. 80feet not getting a signal is this a good cable or should i get another thanks.

it should be fine for a 80 foot run if you are having signal problems check your connectors and dish alignment.

That's rg6 swept tested to 3ghz, which means it's damn good cable providing it has no kinks and or tight bends which could damage the copper core. It's good for 150-200 ft and is what is required by both DishNet and DirectTV. Your problem is most likely an lnb or connection/splice/grnd blk. Make sure it's a str8 through run and not spliced 2-3 times
