dishnetwork 322 dual tuner

To get a dual tuner working (just need 118 on both tuners) can i run a cable directly from my lnb to the splitter that connects to my 322?

will this work or is it recommended to use a switch?

I've tried this method but the singals are not locking at 118 with any transponders. Somtimes i'd get an error 016 (the signal you are receiving is not from the sattelite you have selected)

Am i doing something wrong? please help.

I would need to know your exact setup to assist you so write down the dish and lnb type along with any switches and or diplexers. Let me know and I can help you!

This is not a splitter, It's a separator that separates high frequency and low frequency signal to be used on a dual tuner receiver. The separator needs a DPP switch or LNB to work. If you're connecting to one lnb for 118.7 you will need to connect the lnb to a switch first. You can run 2 lines to the receiver using DP34 switch without separator or run one line using a dpp 44 swich and a separator.

I have a similar issue in that I want to run a single cable for my dp322. Are you saying that a dp34 will not work..that i have to run two cables? If that is the case, why will the dp44 work and not the dp34? BTW i do have a dp1000.2 (does that not have an integrated dp44 on it? Could I use one leg of that for the dp322? If so how would i install the dp34's ( i need a total of 5 receviers (one includes the dual dp322)
