How to get 110,118.7,119 with standard Dish 500

Hello there,

With a standard Dish 500 dish, is there an LNB that allows me to pick up 110, 118.7 and 119, or do I need the Dish 1000+ package combo?

you need the 500+ (110,118,119) or the 1000+ (110,118,119,129)

What is on 118 that isn't on 110, 119, 129 or 148? Just curious!

I have a single dish 300 pointed at 61.5 now and have a couple dish 500's that need to go up (we just moved last week)

Basically, that new 118.7w sat will contain most (if not all) international channels when 121w is decommissioned, which I heard a rumour to be in Spring 2008.

Dish is moving all International channels off 61.5, 121 & 148 and going with 118.7

This allows them to use one dish if someone wants International channels

additional question on this issue:

So therefore: With the DISH 1000, can I then tune to any of those four locations if I so choose? Does that mean this type of DISH then moves as I wish, just as a motorized dish moves?

That is what I am interested in; but the DISH homepage is unclear to me, just what that translates into in terms of one of their pricing packages.

I would like to ask in this thread, how that works.

I mentioned (in another thread) that I currently have 2 DISH devices on my roof; but have not had them enabled. I am thinking of doing so now, but only if I may receive signal(s) from more than one satellite.

How does DISH charge if one get the DISH 1000 setup?

Thanks!

Dish 1000+ does not move. It has 4 lnb's to receive all 4 orbit locations. If you want to buy and install this, it would cost about $300. Best thing to do is to call dishntwork for upgrade or even a new account. They would come and install it for you for free with a smile. (new account. with qualifying package)
