Help finding Echo 9

I am using a 10foot motorized dish with a DSS LNB, and I have no problem finding Echo 7, Echo 5, or Echo 6/8. But I can't get a lock on Echo 9. Does anyone have any ideas?

The wierd thing is that I was able to get Echo 9 when my dish only had a Ku band linear LNB.

That's because Echo-9 is a regular 11700-12200 linear sat, not a 12200-12700 circular sat. A DSS lnbf won't work on it, or more precisely, no consumer receiver will tune below 950 MHz, which would be necessary to tune that with a DSS lnbf.

Good question. There used to be occasional local channels that would pop up FTA while Dishnet was getting them started, but I haven't seen any of them for a year or two.

You guys have obviously not surfed that sat lately. Do we not remember the ever popular "Congrats" screens? I could watch them for hours
