Great Things Are Coming….

Great Things Are Coming….
• The New HN7000S Modem
• Save up to $200 after Instant Savings and Mail-In Rebate through Sept. 30th
• New Service Plan for $79.99/month
• $199.99 Install & reduced commitment term for .98M Systems
• Promotional Purchase Option for All Service Plans
• Lower Monthly Price for Business Internet Service
• Changes to Service Assurance Bundling
• PowerPak creates easy upgrade path for high speed service

The New HN7000S Modem
August 1st marks the release date of the HN7000S, the next generation of satellite technology from Hughes. The design of this modem has been refined and optimized for improved performance and lower costs. The HN7000S is the most bandwidth-efficient modem Hughes has ever produced, which enables better speeds throughout the network. And the HN70000S uses a more cost effective design, so HughesNet can be more aggressive with pricing and promotions. On August 1st, we will also launch a host of service-related changes including….

Save up to $200 after Instant Savings and Mail-In Rebate through Sept. 30th
The results of the $100 Spring Bonus rebate were tremendous. So, we’ve decided to make the extra $100 discount an Instant Rebate. Both programs, the $100 Instant Rebate and the $100 Mail-In Rebate, will be valid through September 30th. On an up-front purchase, the HughesNet hardware will be $299.99 after Instant Savings and, after mail-in rebate, the upfront cost will be only $399.98. For Promotional Purchases, the Initial Fee will be waived and the customer can still submit for the $100 mail-in rebate.

New Service Plan for $79.99/month
A new service plan priced at $79.99/month – That’s right, HughesNet will have five service plans for your customers to choose from and three below $80/month. This new service plan will be called HughesNet ProPlus and offer upload and download speeds of up to 200Kbps and 1.5Mbps respectively on a .74M dish!

$199.99 Install & reduced commitment term for .98M Systems
A bigger dish no longer means a more expensive installation. As of August 1st, the standard installation price of a HughesNet system, any HughesNet system, will be only $199.99. And, for.98 systems only, all mounting options are included in the price. So there’s no extra cost to the customer for a pole mount or a non-penetrating mount. The price change is just that, a price reduction to the customer – there will be no change in the installer compensation to complete installs. In addition, .98 systems will no longer be subject to a longer-term service commitment. Instead of the previous 24-month commitment, new Small Office and Business Internet subscribers will only have to commit for 15 months.

Promotional Purchase Option for All Service Plans
You asked for it, so here it is - A Promotional Purchase option for our high end service plans. Now your customers can purchase Small Office or Business Internet with only $299.99 down after Instant Savings. Just like our other Promotional Purchase plans, an additional $40 will be added to the standard monthly fee through the end of the contract, which is now only 15 months. Equipment and installation are included with every Promotional Purchase. Combined with the reduced 15-month service commitment, our high end service plans are even more attractive to power users and small businesses. The best performance is now even more affordable and that’s not all…..

Lower Monthly Price for Business Internet Service
High-end performance is about to get more affordable. With the launch of the HN7000S, the monthly fee for new subscribers on the HughesNet Business Internet service plan will be reduced to $179.99, a 10% savings.

PowerPak creates easy upgrade path for high speed service
The PowerPak has been created to provide a simple upgrade path to the high end HughesNet service plans. The PowerPak includes a .98m antenna and 2 watt radio and is included with Small Office and Business Internet service plans. But now Home, Professional, and ProPlus subscribers can upgrade their outdoor equipment for better performance or upgrade purposes. The PowerPak is available through your distributor with a suggested MSRP of $299.99.

There are still more improvements to be announced. So, keep an eye out for additional details coming your way soon.

Whats the data thru-put on this?

Sounds like a good way for backup to a T1 for my business, in case someone runs over the telephone pole a block away...

Thanks rainman. There's a couple of companies doing that in Canada but reliability is spotty at best. Slow too from what I hear.

the biggest problem with directway is a little pricey for the working man.

HiTecRedneck is on a distinguished road
You don't always get what you want !!!

I have the DirecWay 1 way dialup and I find that the Fap makes the system totaly a farse.
High speed internet has to do with downloading large amounts of data in a short period of time DW could not do this after about 150mb the system slows down to a intermittant 12kb .
I would prefer they assign you a monthly bandwith limit at which the system shuts down when it is excedded.
A few weeks ago I attempted to d/l a 700mb iso file and after 5 days I had 5 corruupted files totaling more than 2000mb and all were totaly unusable.
I finaly downloaded the file on my 28k dialup (took over a day) but I have a usable file.
I am just beyond the range for ADSL (over 5 miles of wire) And I'm begging the phone company to hook me up, even if it is only at dialup speeds it wouldn't be tying up my phone line.
There is a site devoted to DirecWay http://www.copperhead.cc , be sure to read the forums and see how the hughes customers feel.
