I'm curious re how you know which of those data channels are Hughesnet, and which are from other companies. I know that Lyngsat identifies the Horizons 1 transponders as being Hughesnet, but I know of some other transponders that Lyngsat also identifies as Hughesnet which are NOT Hughesnet, so I really don't trust Lyngsat for these signals. On these transponders that are supposedly Hughesnet, there really isn't anything that I can see that identifies them as being Hughesnet, other than the unique channel structure.
There are several different types of data channels up there. Some are in unencrypted IP/DVB mode, and you can see all the internet data zooming off the sat, and I'm pretty sure that these 30,000 SR transponders used to be like that, but now all these transponders labeled as Hughesnet show a channel structure with no A/V obviously, but with one big DATA stream that isn't in IP/DVB mode, so they must have gone to a proprietary format. That part isn't important, but I don't see anything in these transponders that identifies them as being Hughesnet, and I"ve recorded the data streams and looked at them with binary editors. I guess to really tell, you need to have a Hughesnet transceiver.
But you definately can't trust Lyngsat, because it identifies a couple transponders on G3c as being Hughesnet which are definately not Hughesnet (there is a channel on that sat that probably is, but I think the other two are not). Lyngsat also identifies some transponders on some other sats as all being Hughesnet, and some of them have completely different structures, which makes me think that they might be from another company.

Anyway, I'm curious how you (or anyone) identifies these transponders as being Hughesnet? They are definately data of some kind, but how do you tell past that???

I'm not having any luck with Hor1 this morning. I see it through trees, and there is a lot of dew on the leaves this morning.

EDIT:Re my comments about Lyngsat/G3c above, there ARE at least 7 transponders on G3C that I think are Hughesnet, but only 1 of them is listed in Lyngsat, and of the 3 listed in Lyngsat, 1 is actually a DTV transponder, and another is actually data, but has a much different SR than listed.
