Mount DirecTV dish on antenna tower (not mast)
Hi all,
I had a DirecTV install scheduled for today and when I asked the Tech about mounting the mini-dish to the OTA antenna tower (3 - 1" pole arranged in triangle & mounted in concrete and fastened to SW roof eave), he indicated that he was not familiar with that type of mounting. He suggested for my house/location either a direct roof mount OR, a 5ft. 1 3/4" pipe set in concrete in the yard. I'm wanting to find out if anyone else is familiar with mounting the mini-dish to the antenna tower that I had recently installed on the West end of the house. Very secure and clear (no trees) open southern-sky view. He also said he did not know of any brackets for this type of dish mounting. Your comments and replies appreciated. Greynold99 |

If the direct Tv installer is a good one he will figure something out for sure.
Be aware that if there is a good place on the south side of your house that is where he is going to install it, no matter what.
