DirecTV customer retention

I have been a DirecTV customer from the beginning 1994. When we moved from one state to the another I discovered they have a little known "Customer Retention depart" And I was able to get a couple free DirecTV / Tivo HD DVRs and 6 mo of free programming if I re-upped for 2 years. That has come and gone.

Any idea what they are offering to keep long term customers now?

Thanks

Pretty much all they are offering is 3 months of free Starz/Encore. There are some idiots working in there too. They had screwed up my billing so they on paper disconnected my movies then immediately reconnected them with the correct charge. The next day they charged me a premium disconnect fee of $10. When I called to complain I could not explain anything to this know it all. I asked him if it was worth losing a customer over, his only reply was it was according to the rules I agreed to. I doubt it since I agreed to the 1997 rules. He insisted, so did I and it remains disconnected. The service was never disconnected, only in the billing and he informed me I had no choice but pay $10. I showed him I had a different choice.
