One of the companies I visited while at CES 2008 show was Entropic.
They are behind the Channel Stacking technology that is used today. They design and develop the CHIPs that go into the LNBFs and switches that allow you to use one cable only to feed multiple
satellite receivers.
By now most of you know the DishPro Plus technology that DN uses to feed the dual tuner receivers.
With the new Entropic solution, any DSS provider will now be able to provide something similar where you will have one cable coming from the "New" multi-feed dish and then by using standard Hi Freq splitters, you will be able to share this one cable with several receivers in your house.
So, I am excited that we will have this new technology that will be available soon for DSS, DBS, and FTA.
