Help!

Ok big rookie here! I have Direct TV at my home in bay area of calif. I want to install another dish at a second home up in the mountain in gold country. How do I even know whether to point my dish south,north,east or west?. I think I understand the latitude and longetude..but not sure how to start. Any help would be great!

Do you have the instruction manual that came with the second dish?

I know that for DishNetwork, the instructions are pretty good.

If you don't have the Dish yet, you'll be pointing the dish south (+/- 20 degrees depending on which satellite you are using). So if you have a clear view of the sky in that direction, you'll be good to go.

Gold country huh! Maybe Jamestown? Here in Merced we are aiming southeast.
