Will the VP 1030a get any dishnetwork signals (Echostar)?

Can you receive any programs from Echostar? I am using a VP 1030a DVB-PCI card.

Yes, you can. FTA only.
Set the LO at 11250.

What settings did you use for the LNB?

I'm trying to get the same set up going. What settings did you use for the LNB's.
Universal, Custom, Normal?
Power On or Off?
22KHZ On or Off

After disconnecting the Directv switch box and connecting straight to my 1030A, everything began to work. I also used "ProgFinder" to setup the connection to the satellite.

Currently (using ProgFinder) I am using "Echostar7", at 119 deg, "LNb1", using LOF1 set to "11250", "Circular" setting, "Power" on. Play with the "Transponder" settings to get the highest signal. I used "20" This gave me a signal of about 76/82 Quality/Strenght.

I had to hand enter the FTA channels in the "Program" menu in the "VisionDTV" program since a scan of the satellite did not yield any of the FTA channels that work without encryption. Remember Echostar for DISH Network is encrypted with NagraVision 1, 2. Only a few channels such as Music and guides are available without NagraVision encryption.

Currently "NASA" is at: Echostar "119", Freq "12297" Mhz, Symblol rate "20000" VPID "5922", APID "5923", Polarization "H" Scrambled set to "FTA"

I hope this helps!!!
