Thank you. We are still navigating around all the features this new software has to offer. I guess the sky (or the satellite for that matter ) is the limit.

Is it just me and my incredible luck, or is everybody else having difficulty getting to the "new" messages?

I pick "New Posts" from the top banner, and am presented with a list of threads that have new messages since my last visit.

On the left of the thread title is a small icon to click that should take you to the first unread (by you) message in the thread. For me, this has not worked since the forum software upgrade, with one exception -- on a new thread, it always starts at the first message ( ).

I have tried manually marking (via the Quick Links menu) all Forums Read before leaving the site, but on my return the same problem exists. It also acts the same way if I -don't- mark all forums read.

I think the system "knows" my last read pointer in any given thread -- when I do finally scroll to the (truly) new messages, the little icon in the upper left of the message header is orange (indicating that the message is 'new' to me), and it turns to blue (indicating that I've read the message) on subsequent visits to the thread... it's just the pointer on the initial "new posts" list that is not correctly positioning me at the proper spot in the thread --- sometimes it's several days or weeks in the past!

Please save my scrolling and clicking fingers!! Find and squash this bug or tell me what I'm doing wrong!

- Brian

Yes, I'm familiar with that button, as well.. and, that'd be fine if there was only one post (the last) in a given thread that I hadn't read. What if there are five? or fifty? The button I'm talking about is immediately left of the thread title (as opposed to the one you've mentioned, which is to the immediate right of the 'poster' in the next adjacent column), and it only exists if there are "new to me" messages in a thread -- it's supposed to take me to the first unread (by me) message. If you let your mouse hover over that graphic, in fact, it says "Go to first unread message".

...but, it doesn't.

I've attached a small graphic to illustrate the button I'm talking about.
