Which software to start out with?

I'm getting a TH1020a card from Sadoun (thanks) and was wondering how I should start.

I want maximum versatility out of it, basically meaning I'd like to be able to use the thing for blind searches (if possible) and receiving 4:2:2 MPEG (assuming it is otherwise FTA) and maybe even HD. I've played with BUD and FTA before, and got bored with the regular broadcast stuff. I'd like to watch network backhauls and other things that I used to see on C-band before digital came along.

Does the TH software do what I want? What is MyTheatre? Is it worth buying? Are there other packages that let me see HD and 4:2:2 video on my PC and maybe even let me DVR it?

Thanks for any info...

Re: Which software to start out with?

1. TH card can't do blind search.
2. For 4:2:2, you will need to use right filter (elecard) to decode the stream. Check out DVBApps at www.dvbapps.com. DVBApps works very stable with TH card. If you donate few bucks to Hans (the author of DVBApps software), you will be able to get pre-release version which allows you to use other filter such as Intervideo, Cyberlink (assuming you have them installed in your PC, other words DVBApps does come with Intervideo/Cyberlink filter). If you have Netstream2000 hardware decoder, you can use the card to decode the 4:2:0 stream with pre-release version.
