Question on PCI DVB Card and TV

Is it possible that I can use PCI DVB card with my TV? I am looking to purchase a card, and build my own receiver, a PC + PCI DVB card
combination.

Is this possible?

What are the good PCI cards available on the market?

Thanks

The card itself won't output to your TV, but depending on your computer's video card, the computer can. Many of the higher end video cards have outputs that can go to a TV, and also have an overlay mode, such that when you are displaying video from the DVB card on the computer, that video will be ported to the TV, and when you aren't displaying video, the computer's desktop is sent to the TV. It actually seems to save processor time to display on the TV vs on the computer, which I don't understand myself.
The video quality on the TV is dependent on a lot of things. I haven't been all that happy using the SVID output of my ATI, but other people have reported good results. I think it is limited by the computers video settings and the capabilities of the card output you are using. Also, if the digital output is used, it gives better quality.
