Your "here is what i am working with" doesn't include a dish or lnbf.
You should also indicate what you are trying to receive, as it may not be possible with the combination of dish/lnb you have.
First, the "strength" doesn't always mean you are seeing a sat signal, because often the background noise registers as a strong signal.
There are many reasons for not getting lock/quality. Usually it is
1. dish isn't aimed right or dish too small for desired satellite
2. wrong lnbf type entered for lnbf
3. wrong LO freq entered for lnbf.
4. wrong transponder data entered, ie freq/SR.
5. wrong polarity if a slaved receiver
6. wrong lnb selected by switch if a slaved receiver
7. no power on to power diseq switch if a slaved receiver.
etc, etc .
Need to know more about setup.

Satfinder can tell you if you are aimed at a sat, but won't tell you which one, and if on the wrong sat, the transponder data will be wrong, and you won't lock on the channels you are looking for. Ie , how do you know you are looking at G11?
What channel are you trying to lock on G11? Most of the Ku signals on that sat are feeds that aren't full time, ie might not be there when you look, except for what Lyngsat calls a test card on 12060 (I haven't tuned this myself, so I'm taking Lyngsat's word for it. )
The DSS lnb won't work on G11. The other one should, assuming it is a linear , although I'm not familiar with that one. I'm also not familiar with ProgDVB, but make sure you are using 10750 as the LO freq with the StarChoice LNB (again assuming here), and make sure you have entered transponder data for channels that you know are active (ie the 12060 above).
I noticed a thread by you in another forum, that indicated that you were trying to tune in Nimiq and G11, perhaps at the same time, which won't work.
