New drivers/software released (2.43)

There is a new version of Twinhan drivers and software available. Not sure yet what enhancments were made. UI looks somewhat the same. Configuration menu is a little bit different. Adjustment tab has few extra features to tweak.

If I remember correctly, it didn't play ac3 before. I can watch pbs channels on amc3 and pbs hd with sound using just twinhan's sowtfare.

I agree that earlier versions of software didn't seem to do AC3, but I've had I think version 2.41 on my computer for several months, I think since April, and it seems to do AC3. I didn't think it did, but checked it out a couple months ago to answer a question, and it worked. I don't know if it's because the Twinhan software changed, or if I somehow added codecs to my computer that made it work.

Whats with the Twinhan site? What are they running a server from someones house on 14.4k modem. I don't know if you are experiencing any problems but that server is lacking, if you can get on it.

An hour to download a driver? Anyone else here notice this.

What is the best way to update the drivers? The downloaded file is rather large and contains much more than drivers. Just do a typical windows driver update pointing to the Drivers folder in the download? Or must it be a reinstall in order to get needed additional stuff from the 2.43 file?

Is there another source for the new driver pac other than the Twinhan site? Unable to download it, it says 2 hours 50 minutes to download but stalls.

The "2.43 PCI.zip" file is, would you believe, 41.65mb. Takes a while even with a hi speed connection. Don't know of another location. An earlier post in this Twinhan forum by Sadoun led me to believe that it was available on his site, but could not find it.

41Mb is nothing for highspeed when you are on a reliable server. I just downloaded a 101Mb service pack in 8 minutes. (Microsoft Server). A 6 KB/SEC download speed is terrible.

Its their site, have you seen how slow it is to even open most of the time it generates a Gateway error. Just looking for another source, if I find one and ppl are experiencing what I have will provide a source link. I will host it on my OSX server if I have to.
