How do you use BEV receiver to find Dish signal???

Can anyone tell me what i have to do to get a BEV 2700 receiver help me get the signal for Dish at 110 and 119?? I have heard this is the best way to get a signal as opposed to using the twinhan card to try and find a signal. Thanks in advance.

When you use a Dish or Bev receiver and point your dish at the wrong satellite, you will receive an error like this: "Wrong satellite- Bell Espressvue 91" when you point at a satellite that you do not belong pointing to (the receiver's oppinion). I use Dish receivers to find Bev when I was setting up originally.

vfrjim is right; a BEV receiver will indicate "wrong satellite - Echostar 119" when the dish is pointed at the Echostar 119 satellite. In the good old days you could actually turn a BEV receiver into a Dish receiver by pointing at the "wrong" satellite and letting the receiver download the software. The newer receivers will not do this - fortunately or unfortunately depending on your circumstances - but it is still a handy way to align the dish for use with a Twinhan card.

Thanks guys but i still have one prob. I found the 119 Echostar bird no problem. But where the hell is the 110? Do i need to alter my elevation or is it just that tough to get because of the Direct bird? Thanks in advance.

It's not hard to locate 110. DirectTV signal is not DVB, therefore it make any differences. Check out the link below of the dish elevation and azimuth of 110 for your location, remember the azimuth you will get from this calculator does not include the magnetic deviation, scroll down to the botton of the page to get the magnetic deviation:
