You might try
http://www.dvbapps.com
also, I find TSREADER very useful, ie:
http://www.coolstf.com/tsreader/

Tsreader doesn't display video directly, but is very helpful at finding and interpreting signals, and it can record video, and can stream video to other software like network viewers.

The VisionDTV or WinDTV software that comes with the Twinhan card is very user unfriendly, and I almost never use it. The one thing that it DOES do, however, is that it tends to use hardward codecs, and does a better job on some high speed signals, but for most signals, I think you'll find the above programs preferable. There are a few other programs that I haven't tried yet.

What kind of dish are you using?

If you are using a Directv dish with the Multiswitch that comes with it,it will not work. Connect the Dish directly to the WinHan Card.

How about puting some ramsink on the hot chips. They will cool the card down. I put few of them on DVB card as well as receiver.

I am not in any way affiliate with the seller.
If you put these ramsink on the DVB card chips, you will need to place it on the PCI slot at the bottom. Otherwise, you might lose a PCI slot due to the ramsink size.

For other software try a search for MyTheatre, Progdvb, and Dvbdream, to keep the old puter cool I just run it without the case cover, its not pretty but its nice and cool.
