I'll let someone else help you with setup of the mount, but looking at Lyngsat,
http://www.lyngsat.com/america.shtml
It looks like AMC9 is closest to your longitude, but you may have a problem finding a full time Ku signal on that sat, so you might be better choosing AMC3, or perhaps AMC5. The other sats in that area aren't suitable.
Re computer, I'd really advise getting a computer over 2 GHz, and possibly faster. For standard definition, you can probably get by with a 500MHz computer, but if you try watching
HDTV channels, you will have a problem with freezing video, etc. I'd also recommend getting a video card that has options for TV output, like svid and the digital output (I forget what it is called, something like
DVI). Ie, if you want to display channels on a TV, you'll need that capability. I'm using an ATI 9200, which has both dvi and an svid that has a converter for regular A/V connection.
Did you have a specific reason for getting the 1030 rather than the 1020? Some third party software may not work with the 1030, and you will almost certainly end up using something other than the software that comes with the Twinhan card.
