TH1020 Card + AMC4

I am in Calgary, please recommend the dish size, type of LNFB, and how is the performance?
Thanks.

You don't say whether you are looking for C or Ku or both.
For Ku all you need is about a 1 meter dish, but for C band it needs to be 2 or 3 meters. You need a linear polarization feed, not a circular one.

Thanks, wejones,
I just want to watch some Chinese program such as CCTV. I guess it could be ku band. Do you mean I'll need a 1-meter dish and a liner polerization feed?

re 1 meter, yeah, that's just approximate. I mainly mean that you can't use one of those little 18" DBS dishes like a DTV dish. I'm not sure how big the DBS dishes are in Canada. I would think that the 90 CM dishes should work.
I'm in Maine, not Canada, and you're a little more out of the footprint of AMC4, but I've used a 1 meter dish for analog, so I think it should work in Calgary. But hopefully someone from Canada can comment.

Dish

I'm in Quebec City and I use a 76 cm for Telstar 5. 1M is excellent , you could also go for 90 cm, maybe you'll be ok with a 76 cm but I wouldn't take the risk.
