NO strength/quality

Hello,

I am a newbie to the dvb-s cards and am having trouble with signal strength/quality on my TwinHan 1020. I have Dish Network service and am receiving 100+ strength on my Dish receiver and receive all channels will no problem from the same old directTV lnb so I am relatively sure the dish it pointed correctly.

Here is my setup:

- Target Sat: Echostar 110

- Card: TwinHan VisionPlus 1020A

- Software: Tried WinDVB, ProgDVB, myTheatre

- PC: Athlon 1.8 ghz CPU. RAM 128mb, Nvidia 4x AGP

Problem:

No matter what software I use, the problem is identical. I do not see any signal strength/quality. Hence can not find any FTA channel on Echostar 6 and 8. I am using this SAT as test with my VisionPLus1020A card , since dish is already working good with my standalone receiver. I know there are few FTA channels on echostar 6 & 8. There is no switch btw 1020A card and lnb, it is direct connect.

Strange is that when I use this great program Progfinder, I get 99% strength/quality. Then after I close progfinder and startup Mytheatre or any other programs, I get 99% strength/quality. But strength/quality goes away after it finishes scaning the sat. Scan also does not find any channels.

Again, I am very much a newbie to dvb-s card but have been a computer technican for over 12 years so I know it is not the obvious (bad pci slot, corrupt drivers, etc).

Any feedback is greatly appreciated, I have already gone crazy trying to fix this. Any setting I am not entering?

Thanks in advance.

since your dish is alinged correctly i can only think of one thing, in the software you are using, make sure the lnbf LO frequency is set to 11250, and there is nothing free on 110,

Thanks ctg101,

That works!!!!!!

I was using build-in LO's which does not have 11250. Thanks for your time.

Three days I was pulling my hair, can't believe it could be this simple.
