Scanning

How does satellite scan work?
Scans it only known transponders or also searching for new transponders?

I assume you are asking about the button in the WinDTV or VisionDTV program? If so, it only scans transponders that are in it's list, which is the satellite.dll file, and the list of transponders in the pulldown list on the window you're referring to. This file seems to be modified when you make changes to the transponders on that page.
